You're invited to be part of something worth celebrating.
The Glimmer Ball is our public celebration of the launch of No Visible Bruises CIC and a chance to mark what we've started, share what we're building and bring together every single person who is part of this world.
All in the same room, on the same night for the same reason because this work matters and the people doing it in every form deserve a night that says so.
No Visible Bruises CIC exists with one clear purpose to make sure the systems that meet survivors every day actually understand what coercive control does to a person. Not just the behaviours. The impact. The invisible damage. The reasons that make no sense on the outside and make complete sense once you understand what living inside it does to you.
Why does she stay? Why does she go back? Why do her children's school reports say defiant, disruptive, difficult when what's actually happening is a child whose body has never known what safe feels like? These are not simple questions but they have answers and those answers are not yet being taught in police training, in social work degrees, in family court briefings or in schools.
That is the gap No Visible Bruises CIC exists to close and we've started.
The CIC is live, the work is underway and this evening is how we mark that together.
The evening will include time to hear more about the mission from the founder and other speakers passionate about this topic and what we're building next. Come curious. Come ready to be part of something. Come prepared to have a genuinely brilliant night while you're at it.

Why the
A glimmer is a small moment of hope that flickers when, even in the middle of the hardest thing, something inside you feels like it might be okay. We named this evening after that moment deliberately because building something new, in a space where so much has been broken, takes exactly that kind of faith in small moments of possibility.
The Glimmer Ball is our way of saying we see you. Every survivor who rebuilt. Every professional who kept showing up. Every advocate who fought the system. Every family member who didn't know what they were dealing with but loved someone through it anyway.
You are all welcome here.

Come with people you love. Come as a professional who cares. Come as someone who has lived it and come out the other side. With kindness, with compassion, with no judgement. Everyone is welcome.

Ticket Price: £79 per person three-course dinner, half bottle of house wine and all entertainment included
Seating: We can guarantee seating together for guests who book at the same time. Separate bookings cannot be guaranteed at the same table.
Dietary Requirements: Menu choices and dietary needs must be submitted at the time of booking for each guest.
Capacity: 100 guests private, exclusive use of our banqueting suite.
STAY THE NIGHT
The hotel is also offering preferential rates on rooms for our guests.
Standard bedrooms start from £99 for single or double occupancy, and £109 for a triple.

Rooms are offered on a first-come, first-served basis and availability cannot be guaranteed, so we'd recommend booking early. When you call, simply let the team know you are part of a Christmas party and give the party name– “Caroline Strawson” and date.
To guarantee that your group sits together, please book all tickets in one transaction. We are unable to guarantee seating together for guests who book separately.
This is an intimate evening of 100 guests. Once tickets are gone, they are gone.
Please note: Menu choices and dietary requirements are needed for every guest at the time of booking, we cannot process bookings without these.
